BLACK FRIDAY: Warrior Women Empowering Tools

Having a teen daughter can sometimes be a challenge…lol!  I actually don’t find her teen-ness to be a challenge…..because I honestly love it…..

img_4068

BUT…..I do know that if we as mother’s aren’t even equipped ourselves it can be difficult to equip our daughters or other women in our life.

I think about how because of dysmorphia as a teen I truly didn’t have PEACE in my body.  I am naturally a CHEERful person but I allowed my mental disconnect to rob me of my PEACE and CHEER my whole teen years and young adult years.

There were so many factors that contributed to my disconnect about my body….about my self love…..one of the factors was my mom.  No fault of her own…..because she wasn’t equipped herself then she wasn’t able to properly equip me.

When I became pregnant with my daughter (before I even know she was a she) I purposed my entire being to nurture self love and positive self talk within me as she was developing and growing in my womb.

Because of this purposing….a seed was planted…..and a root took place.

Over the years watching and modeling PEACE AND CHEER within my own skin for my daughter has been key for her developing her own self-worth….her own confidence in her own skin…..her owning who she is and being proud of it!

It wasn’t easy but I knew it was important.

Regardless if a girl, young lady, woman develops or has dysmorphia I think with the media being so saturated with images of “perfection” our girls are at risk of not loving the beautiful bodies they were gifted.

How can you create a shift in your mindset of yourself….and for the women in your life?

Sit and pray about this……start a journal with your action plans…..tap about it to uncover any emotions that have been hidden….and then choose an oil to support the healing to fully embrace YOU ARE ENOUGH!!!

Have an amazing blessed day….

hugs, prayers, blessings,

Kelly 😉

#Me Too…

I am terrible with keeping up with what’s going on in the media, news, etc….  I have NO IDEA the who what where when why of the #me too.

What I do know is I saw it on a loved ones FB page and I chose to also share it.  After all, I know God has called me to make my life an open book for all.

Anyone who stumbles across my facebook page or here on this blog will learn 3 things about me:

  • I am passionate about empowering women.

  • I share about the connection of traumas and health.

  • I connect essential oils to ALL aspects of life: mind, body, soul, spirit.

I imagine the purpose of the #me too,  is to create awareness….I get it.

BUT….I think the #ME TOO….needs more!  It needs a voice, encouragement, details, action!

What do I mean?

I have learned over the years the more I talk openly about my sexual traumas, abuses, and choices (not every cruel detail, but not so vague as just a ME TOO)…..the more I speak about it… the more I heal.  Each time its a little different, depending on the circumstances, the person, will depend on the detail, the angle I recall.

Every time I am asked to speak at a women’s event to share my testimony.…it’s empowering…freeing.

Thus the enemy loses his clutches. His lies have less to no impact.  I am able to walk out from under the shadow of shame, feeling dirty, ugly, and so much more.

There are many things women CAN do to empower themselves to prevent and/or heal.

In addition to:

  • Prayer
  • Oils
  • Tapping
  • retreats
  • splankna
  • therapies

There are TWO things I think are absolutely a bedrock for women to feel empowered:

TOB:  The more a woman knows and understands the beauty of her human sexuality, the less likely she will fall for the lies to compromise her dignity.  When we are weakened in our mind about our body we are weakened in our spirit and body.  This makes us vulnerable to be used and abused.

BJJ: There is something very spiritual and empowering with this form of exercise, martial arts.  Short version you become VERY COMFORTABLE, EMPOWERED, IN THE UNCOMFORTABLE.

I have always loved intense workouts.  Having weight lifted since I was 18.  I love the  force of moving something; pushing my muscles and body in ways that I didn’t think possible.  I’ve loved the fluid stretching and core strength from Pilates.  I relish the stamina I receive from walking, biking, and when I use to run.  They have all gained me confidence in my mind body soul spirit journey of loving the body I’m in.  They have nurtured my healing and finding peace with my past….BUT….not ONE of them prepared me for protecting me.

I have taken defense classes and dabbled with other martial art modalities in the past….but NONE OF THEM….have what I believe BJJ has (in my opinion)….

When you train in BJJ: whether its with a video, a gym, with a gi, no gi, competition, no competition….each form of BJJ teaches you to find peace and confidence in being comfortable in the uncomfortable.

Let me explain….

you are laying on the mat, a person has you pinned….they are 2-3 times your size…sweat dripping on you…they are breathing heavy in your face….

you have a choice:

  • Panic, struggle, exhaust yourself…or…
  • pause…dig deep within to WAIT….find your opening….ESCAPE!

Because YOU CAN….YOU CAN DEFEAT GOLIATH!

It’s the same as the bible story….YOU OUTSMART THEM!

BJJ is not about brute force….it’s art….strategy….chess….

OWNING YOUR SPACE….confidence in your skin!!!!

When you combine TOB AND BJJ…

  • You can’t help but experience the amazing power of being A WONDERFUL WARRIOR WOMAN!
  • You can’t help but heal from trauma.
  • you can’t help but empower yourself/armor yourself against hurt, pain, trauma.

This duo has something for every woman.  I love that they have been there for me through my healing.

I am no where near where I would like to be with BJJ….heck I’ve been an “in and out” student of it for a little over a year now but I see the power of it.  I have to be mindful about my inflammation and go slower with it than I would like but I KNOW it’s amazing power (mind, body, soul, spirit) that I don’t want to give up on my BJJ journey.

I love that this duo is powerful for my daughter.

My prayer is that she WILL NEVER…

be a woman posting #ME TOO!!!

How about you?  What’s going to be your #hashtag going to read?  #HOPE? #EMPOWERED? #HEALED? #BELOVED? #CHERISHED #NOT A VICTIM? #WARRIOR

Sit…pray…oil up…tap…..and connect to your amazing healing and health of your mind, body, soul, spirit journey!

hugs and prayers always dear beloved ones….

Kelly 😉

Wonder Woman {Warrior Woman}

I have written for years about being a warrior woman.  How wonderfully, beautifully made we are.

If you want to feel an amazing surge of feeling like the warrior woman you ARE…and if you need to believe it….then I strongly urge you to go see WONDER WOMAN.

I don’t pay much attention to what is going on in the theaters or even the news.  I believe firmly in connecting with what I’m passionate about and not wasting my time in trying to keep up with who’s who and who’s done what.  It’s just not me…and if I’m suppose to know something…well that’s what I have amazing friends and family members for,  who are passionate about that stuff to keep me informed.

So back to WONDER WOMAN!

I heard about this movie through a pod-caster I have been following for many years:  Sean Croxton.  Side note: if you haven’t heard of him or have not started following him…you have no idea what you are missing!

When He said how blown away with this movie he was, it had me take pause.  Now I’ve never been a comic book/movie junkie, but my hubby is a super heroes type of movie junkie.  I have learned to truly appreciate the value and messages that can be gleaned from some of the superheros like Superman, Batman, X-men…etc.

As a family we went to Wonder Woman as our afternoon outing on Monday.  In the midst of all our moving, unpacking, and getting settled we set a goal to stop working each day by 3pm and do something fun and relaxing.  So Monday darling daughter suggested we go to a movie.  She initially wanted to go to a movie that was a sequel to another movie that I wasn’t too impressed with but then she suggested Wonder Woman!  I was all in!

AND I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED!

Okay, I’m going to try to not do any spoilers….but no promises!

Over all take home:  LOVE is our GREATEST weapon AGAINST evil and destruction!

This had me thinking:  What would be Wonder Woman’s GO TO OIL!?

Here is a woman who from the moment she was young enough to watch the other “Amazon” women train for battle, she wanted to be in the middle of the training as well.

She was determined. She was stubborn.  She was not afraid to speak her mind, speak up against wrongs and injustices.  And not only speak up about it but take action.  She had amazing grit to not let anything get in her way.

She was able to see past her limiting beliefs and find her true calling…..true destiny….TRUE SELF!

AND…she was able to see she had a purpose bigger than herself!

It was set with the premise of Greek Mythology  not with One True God but the many god’s of Zeus….etc.  I saw her great battle as comparable to Saint Micheal versus Lucifer.  She KNEW it was about more than her.  And that there was something bigger to serve: LOVE!   And isn’t GOD LOVE!

So what what Essential oil would Diana – Wonder Woman – have used as her warrior oil!?

Good question!  I’m going to ponder and mull that one over for awhile.  I have some ideas.  Especially after having experienced such an exhilaration from the movie.  It left me fired up.  Made a new!

This movie reminded me how I TOO am a WONDER WOMAN:  A Wonderful Warrior Woman.  And I am going to conquer all through His amazing Love for others….one drop at a time!!!

What has created a fire within you to CONQUER adversity with LOVE?!  Think about this….sit with it….pray about it….journal about it…..and share below about it!

Many blessings dear followers…friends…family….

Empowering Women…

I absolutely LOVE empowering others….but ESPECIALLY WOMEN!

I was once “lost but now I am found“….I have found freedom in being ME!

I understand when I struggle about something….it is not from GOD….it is not how HE designed me…..IT IS ME needing to RENOUNCE the LIES that are whispered in my ear….in all of our ears.

How do I armor myself from these lies!?

  1.  I renounce it and take it to God.
  2. I examine where my own sin may have allowed the liar to hide somewhere in my armor.
  3. I OIL UP!

Ginger Essential Oil is the oil of EMPOWERMENT!

Do you desire to be reminded how you ARE capable, purposeful, EMPOWERED?  To push out the negativity of feeling like a victim, powerless , defeated, stuck?

Grab for Ginger….diffuse it…..sit with these thoughts…..pray about it…write about it…..share with me about it :)!!!

Many blessings and hugs dear followers…friends….family…

~Kelly 🙂
